At the beginning of November when the cold begins to numb your bones we had the need to escape from the Galician Jungle and go to Bali, Indonesia, the mecca of surfing and the customizations of motorcycles and scooters.
After almost 30 hours of travel we managed to reach our destination. On the road towards our accommodation we discovered the authentic chaos and anarchy in the driving of its people. Where of course the mandatory use of the helmet, insurance and minimum driving age does not exist.
The first obligatory stop was the Deus ex machina power station “the temple of enthusiam” in the west of the island, Canggú. An authentic surf museum and personalized motorcycles with extremely exquisite taste. In his temporary exhibition room we were pleased to see the work of Ornamental connifer, an illustrator very integrated in the world of two wheels, known for his collaborations with El Solitario mc, bmw, Edwin, among many others.
A shape of the Australian Jye Byrnes (6.3 singlefin, pin tail, with chanel bottom) accompanied us the rest of the trip. A table created in communion for the waves of that island.
The DEUS customizations have created a school and a scene in that sector, seeing different workshops on the roads where they rented or sold their “spawn”. Another branch of the customization hitherto unknown to us is that of the scooters, specifically the Honda supercub 90. A hard and reliable bike where they are. Since to stand the test of time with those roads and their drivers, has much merit.
The personalization fever reaches even the electric models, since in some islands near Lombock it was not allowed to use combustion engines, but this was not an impediment to customize their electric machines.
With respect to the waves, it is an island conceived of celestial form for the practice of the surfing, the lines were marked in the horizon from any point of its coast. Although it is already an open secret and therefore it was necessary to get up early than the roosters to be able to be loose in the water. That does not take away the enjoyment of such wave perfection.
The Bintang beer and the Nasi Goreng dish is something that if you go you will consume in tons !!!
